Info

[Re]discover your own voice in movement, authenticity and creativity in contemporary dance classes at CNDB!

From August to September, dance classes for adults (beginners and intermediate) continue with Module IV, coordinated by choreographer and dancer Cristina Lilienfeld. These classes are open to both those who have completed the previous modules and those who have not participated before.

Description Module IV: “Home” in your own body

Cristina Lilienfeld draws inspiration from the Body Mind Centering method to broaden the sphere of perception and be in real contact with the body’s messages, thus cultivating the internal mechanisms that give way to personal revelations and the feeling of being “at home” in one’s own body.

During the workshops, she will lead the group, starting from images of human anatomy and moments of listening to the body, the senses, and micro-actions, to guide participants toward the discovery of a surprising new choreographic language. We will explore how energy is regenerated and consumed efficiently, how movement patterns are constructed and reconstructed, nourishing the body’s dynamics. Starting from the hypothesis that our ideas and knowledge expand along with our unconscious, we set out in search of a deep state of connection with our own body with the help of beneficial chemistry.

General aspects | what you’ll learn in dance classes at CNDB:

  • notions about the body, motricity, the relationship with space, rhythm and energy that you put into each individual and group movement and action;
  • movement exercises found in contemporary dance techniques;
  • ways to express yourself freely, to formulate your own “voice” in movement, through choreographic exercises that use improvisation as a structured method of knowing and learning;
  • improving memory, mobility and muscle tone;
  • learning to analyse in order to “read” and relate more easily to a choreographic construction (moment or performance involving movement).

Additional benefits:

  • access to various information sources on contemporary dance, curated by a teacher
  • for the entire duration of the course, participants will benefit from a 50% discount on CNDB performances of the current season;
  • guided access to the CNDB media library resources (books, documents, periodicals and videos of international dance and performance performances, etc.);

Schedule
The courses in Module IV take place every Tuesday between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., from September 23 to October 28, 2025. The workshop offers a series of six meetings open to everyone, regardless of their experience in contemporary dance.

Registration & participation fee
The subscription for the 6 sessions can only be purchased online (proof of payment must be sent by email to by 23.09.2025).
