Production and Presentation
The CNDB residency program is at its seventh edition, a program which is constantly updated according to the professional needs identified among artists in the field of contemporary dance. Over time, CNDB has organized residencies for choreographers, producers and managers working in the field of performing arts.
In 2020, CNDB aims to create a residency project for young dancers through “ReDANS – Residences for Dancers 2020”, a necessary step that meets the needs of an entire segment of emerging dance artists. The project consists of a residency offered to dancers and performers from Romania, who will work together for 8 weeks, being guided in their process by two mentors, choreographers from Romania and Bulgaria: Simona Deaconescu and Willy Prager. The stake of the project is the aggregation of an environment of reflection, work and training for the selected dancers and performers, leading to the creation of two works that will be presented during the next dance and performance season. CNDB aims to create a workspace and reflection for professional dancers in the field, a stimulating framework for the exchange of ideas and practices in the field of performing arts and contemporary dance.
