Info

We live in a time when the unknown creates an ambiguous and unstable environment, which increases the stress levels in each of us. With physical distancing and isolation, the body has become our last refuge, and privacy has become a public health issue. We suddenly found ourselves forced to move almost entirely online satisfying the hunger of algorithms. We have become mutants, abstractions in the setting of a global reality show. We continue to grope without a clear perspective of what our future will be, without too much direct contact, and without understanding what and how changes in the substance of what we do. But who else are we in this context? More than ever, we miss the audience, the closeness and the spaces for meeting and direct interaction. We lack the energy we can give each other. Authorities enchanted by numbers and profit seem to imagine a future in which we do not exist. The body is denied, and the individual artist and the immaterial benefits generated by our work as concrete as possible seem invisible. But how do we imagine the future if the intention is not to complain, but to force the imaginary towards new possible worlds? What are the ideas that cross our minds? How can we approach and generate together energies and ideas from which to feed ourselves? What can those who want to see us and be with us do? What audience do we still have and how do we greet it? What contents and forms are necessary and possible in such circumstances? What kind of artistic practices can we generate? Can we still touch each other?

In order to answer these and many other questions or to reformulate them together, CNDB invites you to get out of loneliness. We would like if you could join us for the three days laboratory, on March 12, 13 and 14, during which presentations will be given by the following contributors: Simona Deaconescu, Raluca Voinea, Anca Bucur, Constantin Vică and Alexandru Dincovici.

Important! The event is addressed to professionals from the community of dancers and choreographers, having an internal character, participation is not open to the public.

Guest: Simona Deaconeacu
