The presentation is a pre-launch event for the book “Radical Bodies in Contemporary Performances” by Mihaela Michailov, published by the National Center for Dance Bucharest in partnership with Vellant Publishing House. The event takes place online on Monday, November 8, at 14.00, with students of the Faculty of Theater and Film from UBB Cluj-Napoca, guided by Miki Braniște, associate professor of the Faculty of Theater and Film.
During the presentation, Mihaela Michailov will address various research spaces, artistic laboratory frames that have made history in theater and contemporary dance.
Artistic laboratories in which theatrical practices and theories were born, developing creative contexts that marked the theater of the twentieth century, will be analyzed.
To what extent are creative laboratories that require a different way of artistic production still possible today? What kind of artistic constructions do these laboratories favor? Where could we imagine them?
