Open Call collaborators – Visiting Artist Programme
About the Visiting Artist Programme
With 23 partners in 22 countries across Europe and UK, the Visiting Artist Programme is a collaborative project aimed at stimulating artistic development, creative exchange and valuable networking. With support from The European Union the program runs 2025-2027 inviting independent choreographers to visit one of the diverse and vibrant partner dance festivals with an especially curated programme.
Each VAP visit includes:
- meeting with the artistic director
- meeting local artists, presenters and promoters
- performances
- workshops
The programme hosts a maximum of 8 artists per visit and runs over approximately 4 days.
This Open call goes out to organisations that wish to support an independent choreographer to participate in the Visiting Artist Programme.
The collaborating partner is responsible for:
- selection of the artist/artists
- costs for your artists expenses (travel, accommodation, per diem and stipend)
- estimated to approximately 2.500 EUR/artist
- providing VAP with the artist information requested for marketing and logistics
The hosting festival is responsible for:
- a specially curated VAP programme
- marketing
- providing tickets to performances included in the Visiting Artist Programme
Apply to become a collaborating partner!
