Info

We are starting the new year with a performance by the youngest dancers in our program, the Performing School for Children!

On January 14, we invite you to a performance that will highlight the artistic skills they developed during the program, during which they began to discover the limitless possibilities of expression through movement. Dance has the most transformative power of all the arts. Understanding the world with the body is the key challenge for young dancers. The students of the Children’s Performing School have reached a peak of experience in encountering the choreographers’ ideas and proposals, and we will witness their creativity and enthusiasm, as well as the remarkable transformations that have taken place in each of them.

Choreographers Catrinel Catană, Eva Danciu, Mariana Gavriciuc and Simona Dabija guided the creation of the four pieces of choreographic repertoire, together with the nine young performers: Adina Radu, Ana Maria Iacob, Ania Vuțescu, Eliza Marin, Ioana Daniela Ghiță, Lia Damalan, Maia Axinte, Ștefania Bănărescu and Tudor Petru Borșa.

Launched by the National Centre for Dance Bucharest in March 2018, the Performing art school for children is the first local training and artistic education programme in contemporary dance and performing arts. The school runs throughout the school year and integrates courses in contemporary dance, choreographic creation and repertoire, theatre and expressive forms, as well as other workshops and art education activities for children.
