Info

Spaime is a documentary theatre performance about the often invisible human labour behind “artificial intelligence”: What does a clickworker do? Who cleans our social media feeds? And who actually creates the programs behind the algorithms?

Take this project as an invitation to imagine that the technological revolution of “artificial intelligence” has already taken your job – and to think together about what comes next.

The performance explores the “fears” that contemporary society experiences in relation to this new technology. How intelligent and how autonomous is “artificial intelligence,” really? How will the planet be affected? Are these fears justified, or are they simply the result of marketing campaigns by Silicon Valley companies? And perhaps most importantly: what structures and mechanisms are shaping the development of this new industry?
