More sun does not mean more reality. The process of solarisation – the overexposure of a surface to light – is not a revelation, but a blinding. It is the point where illumination becomes annihilation. To choreograph solarisation is to treat the body as a sensitive surface. Each gesture becomes a chemical event: an oxidation, a dissolution, a stain. The conceptual framework draws on Bataille’s notion of the sun – a source of light that gives not illumination but disease, corruption and waste.

Biography

Platforma 13 is a creative duo founded by choreographers Anca Stoica and Sergiu Diță, dedicated to challenging norms and conventions within the performing arts. Their artistic research is rooted in collaborative and transdisciplinary practices, exploring new ways of engaging with audiences and expanding the language of contemporary dance.
Both artists hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Choreography from the National University of Theatre and Film (UNATC) in Bucharest and attended the 2022–2023 Academy of Dance and Performance, affiliated with the National Center for Dance Bucharest (CNDB).
In 2025, the National Center for Dance Bucharest (CNDB) Award was given to the artistic collective Platforma 13 (Anca Stoica & Sergiu Diță) for embracing curiosity, vulnerability, and artistic risk through choreographic projects based on collaborative and transdisciplinary practices.
Recent works include Balkan Ballerinas (2024), Play Replay Remix (2023), and Pop Recycling Body Work (2022). Platforma 13 has participated in Bucharest Biennale 10, Mittelyoung (Cividale del Friuli/Italy), Artown Now – The Urban Art Annual (Ploiești/Romania), Spieltriebe Festival (Osnabrück/Germany), Dance Days Chania (Crete/Greece), and Battery Dance Festival (New York/USA).Solarisation este un proiect realizat cu sprijinul Akademie Schloss Solitude, ca parte a programului Solitude Exchange Network, în cooperare cu Arc Bucharest și dezvoltat în rezidență la OM Centru Coregrafic Cluj-Napoca.
