We’re meeting at CNDB to celebrate the end of the academic year, but we’re setting aside the formality of a ceremony… for a party.

After a year devoted to research, experimentation, and creation, the Academy of Dance and Performance Laboratories —the intensive training program launched by the National Center for Dance in Bucharest—are coming to an end.

Over the course of two semesters, the 11 participants worked in an artistic training and research space dedicated to movement practices, performance, and choreographic creation. Over the course of more than 748 intense hours, they took part in 25 courses, workshops, mentoring sessions, and meetings with artists, choreographers, and theorists from Romania and abroad.

So after a year of work, research, and creation, it’s time to rejoice and celebrate them as they deserve.

We warmly welcome you—friends, colleagues, collaborators, and audience members who have stood by them along the way. Of course, we also welcome anyone who’s curious and simply wants to spend time with us.

Throughout the evening, the artists will also lead a few mini dance sessions—chill & fun. The graduates will take care of the music, we’ll take care of the congratulations, and everyone will take care of the dancing.

…You don’t need any tickets for the party, but you do need to be ready to dance.
