Participation Criteria
– A minimum of two years of body-based practice and/or experience in contemporary dance (dance classes and labs, personal performances, etc.).
– Participants must be available for the entire duration of the workshop, as well as for the public presentation.

Practical Information
– At the end of the workshop, participants are invited to take part in a short work-in-progress showing.
– The workshop will be conducted in English.
– Please bring comfortable clothes suitable for movement.

Biographies

Sonja Stojanović is a contemporary dancer and choreographer from Serbia, based in Austria. Classically trained, she holds a BA in contemporary dance from the Belgrade Dance Institute. Her choreographic work includes productions such as ASSIMILATE, CONTROLLER?, and PLAY-RE-PLAY, the latter earning her the Critic Award and third prize at the Choreographic Miniature Festival in Belgrade (2024). As a performer, she has collaborated with international choreographers including Silke Grabinger, Filip Löbl, Christophe Béranger, Jonathan Pranlas-Descours, and many others. Sonja’s practice emphasizes audience interaction and community engagement, particularly through her role as artistic director of Magent association in Veliki Gaj, Serbia.

Tomy Lee Kneringer is a professional dancer from Linz, based in Vienna. His dance background is rooted in breaking, while being strongly influenced by other styles such as contemporary dance, through which he has developed his own fusion and a distinctive movement language. He is an active member of the dance company Silkflügge (Linz, Austria), where he has been involved in numerous productions. Alongside his stage work, Tomy Lee is deeply embedded in the breaking scene, participating in battles both in Austria and internationally. As part of the Toytopia collective in Vienna, he organizes breaking battles events and is involved as workshop facilitator. His heart lies in philosophy and his people.

Victor Saiz, born in Madrid – Spain, studied sound engineering and was part of the underground electronic music scene in the country for the majority of the 2000s decade. He performed in renowned music festivals such as Sonar (2003), FIB (2004), Arsónica (2002), Sónikas and many others, he usually performed solo but also as a member of Madrid’s Laptop Orchestra. During that period he published several recorded music in labels such as Foehn Records, Plataforma-LTW, Miga Label or Rain Music, many of those publications were also performed in the aforementioned festivals and venues. After his touring years, Victor relocated to Stockholm, Sweden, where he pursued his musical career composing music for contemporary dance. During his years in Sweden he worked with many relevant Swedish choreographers. Many of those music compositions were also performed live and toured with the dance crew around the Swedish territory, his name became known as a composer in the national dance scene. Later in his career he moved to Paris for several years, where he joined the IRCAM where he worked as a researcher and developer in several projects around music and technology, as well as writing several other dance pieces for dance alongside his research work. Finally, after those years, Victor returned to his home town and continues, until today, working in the contemporary dance field, while he further develops his own musical practice, research and expression.
