Info

The performance explores the relationship between language, movement, and action through a process of translation between incompatible systems. Starting from the structure of a lecture on effective communication, the performer’s body attempts to translate verbal instructions into gestures, postures, and choreographic actions.

Within this process, deviations, errors, and reconfigurations emerge, creating a space in which meaning is not fixed, but continuously negotiated.

“Code switching” is approached not only as a linguistic shift, but as a cognitive and embodied mechanism – a transition between behavioural registers, between intention and execution, between control and vulnerability.

The body becomes an imperfect translator between verbal, kinaesthetic, and social systems of knowledge, producing a third layer of meaning that belongs entirely to none of them.

Disclaimer

The performance contains strobe effects and is not recommended for people diagnosed with epilepsy.
