Info
Choreographer Léa Vinette comes for the first time in Romania, within IRIDESCENT – International Festival of Contemporary Dance and other reconfigurations of the sensible, with the performance NOX and a workshop dedicated to professional dancers who have been active in the field for at least two years.
Echoing her creative work, Léa Vinette offers to enter into movement through improvisation, transmission of extracts, and creation of your own movement through tasks. This workshop will be an opportunity to cross a multitude of body states, figures and emotions. In her work, Lea seeks a combination of intense emotions with a sensorial presence. Her choreographic language is a play putting in tension primitive and civilized figures.
Registration
Participation in the workshop is free of charge, with registration form available HERE.
Deadline for registration: November 10, 2024.
The 20 selected participants will be announced on November 12.
Biography
First trained at the Nantes conservatory, then in Lyon, Léa Vinette then followed training in dance and choreography at the ArtEZ school of higher arts in the Netherlands (BA in 2017).
And in 2014, Léa met Florence Augendre and her work in fasciapulsology applied to dance. It is important to practice research in physics and intellect, and it is important to prepare for creation.
In 2020, Léa followed training in Charleroi in dance and choreographic practices with Mark Tompkins, Boris Charmatz, Lia Rodrigues, Nora Chipaumire.
Today, Léa divides her time between her work as a performer and choreographer. She works with Louise Vanneste-Rising Horses (earths; METAKUSTE), Michèle Murray-PLAY (Duos/Collisions et Combustions, Wilder Shores, TIME), Tabea Martin (Geh nicht in den Wald, im Wald ist der Wald), Marielle Morales (M- Ondes). Since 2020, Léa has been developing her work as a choreographer in the areas of Brussels and Nantes.
She created her first piece in November 2022, the solo Nox, at the CCN in Nantes. In march 2024, she premiered her second piece, the duet Nos FEUX with Ido Bastah, at the CNDC in Angers as part of the Conversations festival. Léa combines a visceral and carnal physicality with sensitive writing. It is the raw and brutal nature of man that interests him, his sometimes bubbling energy which agitates and moves him, between emotions and reason. To express this vitality and the beauty of contrasts, she works with electric, alert, and spontaneous bodies.
Léa is associated artist at CNDC of Angers from 2024 to 2027. Her projects are produced and distributed by Météores.
