Munteanu Fest celebrates its 10th edition on October 18 in Bucharest at Expirat Halele Carol

All the money raised through donations goes to the “Never Alone—Friends of the Elderly” Association, which works to combat loneliness and social isolation.

On October 18, 2026, at Expirat, the tenth edition of Munteanu Fest will take place—the charity festival that, every year, turns Bogdan Munteanu’s birthday into an opportunity to do good. Now in its anniversary edition, the event continues a tradition that began in 2016, bringing together artists, friends, and the public around a social cause.

This year’s edition is dedicated to the “Never Alone – Friends of the Elderly” Association, which supports older adults and promotes a society where old age does not mean loneliness and isolation.

Loneliness is one of the most powerful human fears and one of the least discussed. It does not discriminate based on age, ethnicity, income, education, or musical preferences. It can affect any one of us. However, in Romania, the elderly are the most affected. Three out of five elderly people in Romanian cities experience loneliness. And 1 in 4 seniors ends up speaking with at most one person in the course of a month, according to a study conducted by Kantar Romania in 2025.

For 10 years, the “Never Alone—Friends of the Elderly” Association has been supporting seniors in Romania who are increasingly affected by loneliness and social isolation. They spend time together, visit them, offer them new opportunities for socializing and learning, and create a space of trust where seniors can rediscover their zest for life.

“The joy of celebrating your birthday comes from the people close to you. For many of the seniors we meet, it is precisely this closeness that is missing: the joy of having someone who listens to them, who comes to visit, and who is happy to see them. Bogdan and everyone who joins Munteanu Fest help us build these kinds of lasting connections. I thank them for making room, within their own joy, for the cause of lonely seniors. Together, we can offer them more days when they have someone to smile with, someone to talk to, and encounters they can look forward to.” – said Valentin Georgescu, Executive Director of the “Never Alone—Friends of the Elderly” Association.

Music and Solidarity at the Anniversary Edition

The Munteanu Fest 2026 lineup brings together a number of artists who are joining the charitable initiative and will perform pro bono during the event, taking the stage one by one at Expirat: Andrei Ursu, Eligarf, Cristina Lupu, Raluca Radu, Gilda, and DJ Cristache.

The event will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Since its first edition in 2016, Munteanu Fest has grown from a birthday party into an annual charitable project centered on the community and the desire to make a tangible contribution to the well-being of others.

I organize cultural and musical events all year round, but every October I make it a point to organize an event dedicated to a noble cause. Over the years, I’ve chosen to support various organizations and causes because I want to help as many people as possible. For the past ten years, I’ve gathered wonderful people around me who come to celebrate my birthday and choose to turn their gifts for me into donations for those in need. I’m glad we’ve reached this anniversary edition and that, this year, we can contribute to the efforts of the “Never Alone” Association to provide support to elderly people living alone. – said Bogdan Munteanu, the organizer of Munteanu Fest.
