For his next creation, AA – Autres Ailleurs, Bouba Landrille Tchouda, Cie Malka Company’s choreographer, casts hip hop / contemporary dancers with excellent technical mastery, strong physical potential and previous stage experiences. An openness to other dancing aesthetics (contemporary, capoeira, krump, experimental …) would be an advantage.
This casting session aims to encounter the choreographer’s world and the constitution of the distribution for this future show.
This day of September 8th is understood as a process of co-creating with the dancers, solo, duets, group … around various topics.

AA – Autres Ailleurs (creation 2020) – piece for 8 francophone dancers from here and somewhere else
/// Argument of creation ///
The issue of an Other, of oneself, of identity, of difference are shaking up us increasingly. From the angle of distance to another, geographical, aesthetic and cultural remoteness, I wish to show the difference as enrichment rather than threat in the construction of contemporary identities, singular and multiple, in constant transformation, unfinished.
A A Initial letters, a basic graphic assembly with twin sounds, the poet conjugates them in a “I is another”, being at once similar and so different, intimate and foreign to himself; just as “life is elsewhere”, the affirmation of the imperative necessity of the movement is the very principle of life.
Other existences, from these unknown equations, will establish bridges braided by our common and plural languages, the Francophones, and will testify of our distances, will cross spaces, will project to the present, always further from you, from us, from everything, to join you. We will invent new stories, we will go where our languages sing our gestures, we will dance to please you, we will dance to give a chance to the meeting.

Bouba Landrille Tchouda
Artistic Director-Choreographer
Bouba Landrille Tchouda is an intense dancer and a thoughtful choreographer. He leads a powerful work that mixes hip-hop, capoeira and contemporary dance. Her mixed career, made of original encounters, feeds her exploration of the infinite possibilities of the language of dance, seeking to push her limits, to overcome gender barriers. He collaborates with various aesthetic artists including Accrorap, choreographer Jean-Claude Gallotta or, more recently, Cirque Plume. He is one of those dancers-choreographers from the hip hop movement who has developed a singular contemporary choreographic writing. The national and international tours he conducts today allow him to position himself as a choreographer beyond our borders.
In residency from 2004 to 2010 at the Rampe-Echirolles, stage conventioned for the dance, he choreographed his most emblematic pieces, the Franco-Brazilian shows Malandragem and Meia Lua, then it will be Murmures created at the National Theater of Chaillot and presented to the Biennale of the Dance of Lyon in 2012.
From 2010 to 2016, associated with Château Rouge – Annemasse, a stage labeled for the New Writings of the Body and the Speech, he choreographed Têtes d’Affiche, a small opera on the race to desire which will be followed by an energetic and colorful Casse- noisette. In 2014, he co-elaborates The proof by the other with the complicity of Anne Nguyen and Farid Berki, two remarkable figures of French hip-hop writing.
Artist associated with the MC2-House of Culture of Grenoble for the seasons 2015/2017 and with the House of Dance of Lyon in 2016/2017, it produces Boomerang, an explosive painting of the contrasting behaviors of society.
Newly, he has just created two pieces, a quartet entitled Des air(e)s d’anges mixing live electronic music, circus and hip hop dance, a twirling and poetic show asking our relationships abroad, at the unknown, at our internal borders, then the solo I have not always danced like that, a sensitive portrait of his life course that he interprets himself.
Currently, the company Malka is in residence of Artistic Education on the territory of Bièvre-Valloire, located in the department of Isère. At the same time, the choreographer is an associate artist at the Théâtre Le Rive Gauche, Scene for Dance in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, Normandy.
Between 2001 and 2019, the company Malka created 14 choreographic shows distributed in France and abroad.
The Malka company is associated with the Rive Gauche – Saint-Etienne-du Rouvray (76). It is supported by the General Council of Isère, the City of Grenoble, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, the DRAC Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes / Ministry of Culture and Communication, the French Institute for tours to internationally.
