In November we make room for new worlds to emerge. In an ever-changing universe, Iridescent celebrates the transformative power of ideas and dance.

Iridescent is an invitation to curiosity and openness, challenging you to embark on navigating unknown territories. You will discover microhistories that rub up against global narratives, challenging non-Eurocentric histories, presences that intersect with dance history and critically look at theatrical norms and tradition. All of these invite us to cultivate a broad and generous gaze.

This year’s programme brings 16 performances and works to the audience, most of them presented for the first time in Romania by creators such as Ioana Paraskevopoulou, Jérôme Bel, Adriana Butoi, Jean-Baptiste Baele, Mădălina Dan, Moritz Ostruschnjak, Florin Flueraș, Janet Novás, Ioana Marchidan, Dominik Więcek, Ioana Păun, Simona Deaconescu & Vanessa Goodman, Iva Sveshtarova & Willy Prager, and their guests.

You will have the opportunity to take part in dance workshops, film and discussion about the phenomena that shape our existence, with Constantin Vică, Veronica Lazăr, Anda Zahiu, Alexandra Zorilă and Paul Gabriel Sandu. We invite you to be part of an Ideas for Planet Earth marathon and we look forward to seeing you at the party.

Iridescent is a space to be together. Think of it as a navigational tool that inspires us to discover new possibilities and imagine a better world.
