“Orașul vorbește”: discussion with Ana Papadima and Mihai Mihalcea

At the beginning of October, the National Dance Centre Bucharest launched the second edition of a unique project in Romania. Dance and Performance Academy. The only programme in the country that trains professional dancers in the area of contemporary dance and performing arts and supports young people to have access to the European art system. During these months you have met some of the Academy’s students and teachers at Dance Diary. Some, with their expectations, emotions and experiences lived in the classroom, others, with new perspectives and diverse international experience.

For this year’s last Dance diary episode, Luana Pleșea’s guests are Ana Papadima, who is in charge of the CNDB’s education and training department and, by extension, the Academy of Dance and Performance, and Mihai Mihalcea, director of programmes and projects at the CNDB.

Creator: Luana Pleșea
Producer: Gabriela Mitan
Host: Andra Petrariu

Dance Diary, part of the broadcast “Orașul vorbește”, is the result of a collaboration between the CNDB Academy of Dance and Performance and Radio Romania Cultural.

The Academy of Dance and Performance is part of the South-East European Dance Stations (SEEDS) project, coordinated by the National Center for Dance Bucharest and carried out in partnership with the Brain Store Project Foundation (Sofia) and Stanica – Service for Contemporary Dance (Belgrade) in the period between 2022 and 2025. The SEEDS project is co-financed by the European Union through the Creative Europe program.
