CNDB "Stere Popescu” hall (Mărășești, 80-82)

I lose myself, fall apart, scatter like grains of sand in a child’s hand. I tried to keep going but I don’t know if I succeeded. I didn’t want to get anywhere in particular because I don’t know where I want to go, or rather, where I should go. I feel like I’m running out of things and I need something, that something that I’m searching for everywhere. Every particle from the outside is absorbed inside me and builds me up. With each new fragment I become something I do not know, something I cannot touch. The imbalance in my soul, the insecurity, the uncertainty, spills over into every atom of which I am made. They say we all have a particle of a star in us. Maybe that particle is trying to return to its place and that’s why it doesn’t like my place.

Perhaps we should gain our existence by breaking away from our own being. I would do that, but I don’t know what my own being is. I don’t know my own being. I feel that everything is foreign to me. I put effort into every breath, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to continue. I choke more and more with every breath I try to save myself with. I live in a perpetual attempt to get somewhere. I think that somewhere is nowhere. Maybe that’s where I’ll find what I’m looking for and stop exhausting myself living in an unknown body, in a foreign life.
