Info
The spam-index.com online platform for promoting digital artists in Romania continues the series of new launches with two simultaneous events on October 22, 7.00pm, in Bucharest – at the National Dance Center Bucharest, and in Cluj – at Young Actions and Abstractions Artists Studio.
For the launch of spam-index.com platform in Bucharest, we invite you at the National Dance Center, where we will organize a short presentation and a discussion with the local digital scene, starting at 7.00pm, after which we will continue our evening with Alien Flora by Chlorys, accompanied by the Adrian Ganea’s video projection, Alien Florist.
SPAM-INDEX aims to be the first online platform for promoting digital, internet and post-internet art in Romania and the artists who investigate and reflect upon the impact of the internet in today’s society. We want to support the production of this type of art in the local context by increasing the visibility of local artist and the already produced work, as well as archiving them, commissioning new works, series of interviews and articles, creating online residencies, promoting events or digital art contests, especially from Romania but also international ones.
This will be the framework for developing a collective of digital artists, post-internet and a first experimental platform for Romanan internet art and digital art, where IRL and URL experiences are discussed, examined and converted to art. The online platform will include a database of Romanian artists, a news section (notification regarding open-calls, expositions, conferences) and people will be able to see the first online works and articles commissioned by the Spam-Index team from Romanian artists and theoreticians interested in internet, post-internet and digital art.
